Many customers can't believe the size and selection in our store, as a lot of the store is not visible from the outside. We have plenty of parking which is a rarity in downtown Bedford. Owner Craig Press graduated from Armstrong Installation School at age 15 in 1980...of course Armstrong didn't know he was that young! He and Tim Layton continue to be Armstrong Certified installers in our area. Our store does a large amount of residential installations, as well as commercial installations in PA, MD, and West Virginia. Although our store is located and licensed in PA, we have completed the testing requirements and are now also licensed as a contractor in the state of West Virginia. Craig also worked many years as an independent flooring inspector and trouble shooter for various large flooring manufacturers and continues to be invited to voice opinions on flooring performance and ease of installation.
We do custom color coordination with customers and will gladly visit their home or place of business for a in-depth review of their selections to find the perfect floor or window treatment. We don't charge for estimates and have the ability to measure on Saturdays or evenings. We have the largest showroom in the area and can speak knowledgably on all the flooring materials we carry. For do-it-yourself customers, we are glad to answer all questions they may have, making arrangements to talk directly with one of the many qualified installers on staff. With a large warehouse stocked with installation sundries, these do-it-yourself customers shop confidently at our store knowing they can pick up materials readily and get expert advice if needed. Two of our Supervising Installers have 20+ years of experience, another has 15+ and the fourth has 9+ years all working with Craig. We make in house custom rugs, which we can either bind or surge, whichever the customer prefers,and are able to provide delivery services. We also have in house carpet and rug cleaning with the Bane-Clene System for all of our customers to keep their carpet looking its best! We are the only store in the area to have a carpet cutting machine which allows us to cut up rolls of carpet for many area installers that may not be employed by our company but enjoy purchasing their carpeting from us as we can quickly cut it to their specifications in our warehouse.
